A compact weekend cabin situated between the picturesque Delaware River Valley and the Catskills Mountains in Upstate New York. This understated structure takes advantage of the natural beauty of the rural surroundings. The A-frame is a nod to the heritage of American wood framing and the spirit of homesteading. Care was taken so that the small footprint would have little impact on the wooded surroundings, preserving as much of the existing landscape as possible. A grey-water system and energy-efficient building envelope make this get-a-way a sustainably designed retreat.
